Day 38-9: Donauschingen, Germany

92.7 km +2 km finding hotel
Ride details

First half of ride was through a picturesque gorge with straight granite walls. The road occasionally cut through a tunnel, but the cycling track hugged the river and undulated along on a rolling path. The second half was mostly flat. Only one side trip today up a gradual hill 2km, that actually led to a castle. Since it wasn't our intention to tour the castle, we backed tracked to the last sign and continued on our way. The route today also took us over the shrinking river about 20 times and as many different kind of bridges.

This ends our ride on The Danube, next The Rhein (Rhine)
