I guess I totally understand what a rough sea is like now.
Doing our routine of exercise, eating, lectures, eating, listens to music, & eating.
In spite of all the eating, neither of us has gained any weight.
Finally caught what has been going around the ship since we got on. People have been coughing and spreading it around. I've been washing my hands and sanitizing constantly, but David has had it for about 4 days , so I couldn't avoid it, I guess. I woke in the middle of the night with a headachy fever. I'll take it easy today and hope I can get over this quickly.
Skipped everything today. Even had dinner sent to the room. Bummer!

Day 33: Puerto Montt, Chile
Wonderful day. We walked to the edge of the Andes today. A short bus ride and the a 5 km walk. Over a big hill and down to a lake. This is a lush temperate rain forest. So filled with oxygen it was very refreshing.
2 guides who did an exceptional job. I'm ver renewed after 3 days at sea. We are having an amazing trip...still difficult to believe we are really here!

Day 31 : Pio XI
We woke up to an amazing view of the Pio XI (eleven). Named after the pope. 200 meters high. 4 km wide. 41 miles in length. 488 sq mi. Grows 50 meters/day. We stationed ourselves 1/2 mile from its edge. It is the only glaciers in South America that are still growing.

Day 30: Amalia Glacier
(Totally lost count of what day we are on. The day of the week & the date are meaningless as well)
The highlight of today's sea day was a view of this Glacier.
The southern end the of South America continent is a maze of fjords & volcanic islands.
