Colorado

Rocky Mountains, majestic with unpredictable weather today.

"Gilbert" wasn't happy with the heavy rain making visibility poor. He waited patiently while we renewed our strength with a stop at Starbucks.

Utah

On our way through Utah we made an unplanned stop in Salt Lake City. Dolores loves to walk as I do, so we walked through the magnificent Capital building,

then walked to Temple Square & the new convention center. When David & I drove through here in the early 70's the temple seemed much larger. Today it is being dwarfed by surrounding taller buildings, with Mormon church's approval. The street in front is closed and converted to gardens, making a walk the best way to see it.

Utah is the land of National Parks so our next destination is one of them.
