roadkill:  shotgun shells

Wow!  What a ride today.  Drafted the first 20, lost the group in the next 10, it was all downhill from there.
25miles were sandwiched between Interstate 10 and Union Pacific railroad tracks.  Trains going both ways, I guess west bound has the right-of-way, since the east bound train had to wait for 2 other west bound trains before moving on.  Had a tail-wind as well, made for amazingly pleasant riding.  Some of the ride, about 10 miles total was on Interstate 10 with great pavement a little debris, while the side frontage road and Business I10 was infamous chip seal.  Many of the riders complained about the rattling and jarring it causes, but my wonderful Trek Madone absorbs it, so my ride was pleasant.
Wind has come up and the grey sky looks like  threatening rain even though the weather forcast said no rain. We have been pretty lucky so far with no major weather issues to deal with.
