11,572 steps walking around the town
Definitely needed the day from riding.
After some wonderful oatmeal at the Barrister B&B we did some catching up on email, web stuff, etc. it is difficult to leave the whole world behind, though I've tried not to know anything about the news.
Seneca Falls prides itself on being the idea for the setting of the movie It's A Wonderful Life. So lots of references to the movie around town. It's other claim to fame is that the first Women's rights Convention was held here in 1848, organized by Elizabeth Cady Stanton. A new exhibit alludes to her association with the Iroquois natives in the area who for centuries considered women equal to men and may have influenced her ideas.
