Day 33-4: Ingolstadt, Germany

61.2 km. 69.2 by Dana's GPS
Dana's record of today's ride

My Garmin was acting up today so I saved the ride in the middle and reset it, so I have 2 segments. It will be interesting to review since we were routed on a detour and lost signage for a bit. The signage is generally better for riding downstream, the more popular direction on the Danau, so we have to double check it @ intersections.

We came through a 4 km section of the Danube that has no bike path. It is the narrowest/deepest place in the river, so we took an excursion boat.
Great boat ride, quiet and smooth as glass. Very picturesque part of the Danube. There was a herd(Dana's favorite term for them) of tourist, but they were pretty unassuming.

Several days on this trip I've been riding by crops of potatoes, turnips, corn and wheat. Following is a picture of a crop we don't recognize. Anyone know what it is?

BTW: I do appreciate any comments. This blog is my personal record of my trip, but it also is my way of sharing a bit with family and friends. Comments do help me realize that I'm not just talking to myself.

    Hi,

You're talking to your Brother. I'm following in envious silence.
