We are pretty much done with Warm Showers hosts, all we contacted in since our amazing experience in Prague, were either not available or didn't respond. So we have been using booking.com to find places. The only negative has been they aren't always bicycle friendly. So occasionally our bikes have come inside our room with us. Not always with hotel staff approval.
Our hotel in Linz is more of a typical hotel than any we have stayed before. Fortunately we have air conditioning. It is 36 degrees out there. Our bikes are locked together in the parking garage along with at least 50 others.
Walked to the city center. A large plaza with a statue in the center. Narrow streets leading to it. Cobble stoned streets. Several hundred years old...built to last forever.
My next trip will be a cruise/barge and bike. Really not unreasonably expensive, a place to sleep each night and not too much riding. :)
