We left by 7:30 a.m. to get some km in before the heat. 27 degrees. Left without breakfast at hotel which is usually cold cuts, cheese and bread, tomatoes, cucumbers, sometimes dry cereal, sometimes fruit.
It was still very warm for most the ride. Didn't see any of the Danube today. Went from village to village through agricultural land.

A bit of resting in a small amount of shade.
Gyôr has a population of over 130,000 our guidebook says. The center is a pedestrian mall with restaurants, pubs, bars and ice cream shops. Seems like a holiday but the person at reception said its just a Saturday night and most likely the good weather. Our hotel room has a balcony with a view of the park. Room rate is €36.
