Ride was windy, most time at our back. Yeah! A great deal of the ride was on a road through fields of corn and other grains, beans etc. we went along the former Iron Current road most of the day.
Our ride became solemn when we came across a memorial for those who attempted to leave and were killed. Text was Czech and German, Mary could translate some of the German. It just amazes me how the Soviet Union thought they had the right to keep millions of people hostage.
Mary found a great Penžion, up a hill of course. :)
