From Silsbee Texas to Lake Charles, Louisana
81.1 miles
Roadkill: armadillo, raccoon, oppossum, frog
We are no longer in Texas. 20 days in Texas really sped by for me. I does really seem all down hill from here. The highest places from here on, will be the bridges we cross.
The roads were flat and unendingly straight today. The terrain continues with lots of greenery and trees.
I got lost today...due to poor directions on the cue sheets, just went some extra miles, but it turned out not to be too bad. Had to be on some busy roads with no shoulder at the end of the ride. Fortunately Louisiana drivers were very polite.
I'll add some pictures after our Margarita party and dinner. Not much time, since I didn't get in until 4:10.

I wish I could have been with you when you got lost. The best riding is the wandering with a friend. Miss you lots. Catherine
ReplyDeleteJoAnn, we haven't met, but I worked with your husband for years. He was nice enough to add me to your journal. You are on a true adventure! I hope you are experiencing new expanded boundaries, new culture and new people. If this is your first cross country trip, I hope it wioll lead to more. Carol
