April 4

From Blanco to Bastrop, TX
90 plus miles (my calculator went bonkers today so I'm not sure)

Roadkill: various birds, frog, turtle

Any traffic we haven't had on other days was out on our route today.  Started in steamy hot mist that was sometimes a tail wind, and ended with so much traffic I can hardly tell you want the weather or scenery was like.  Didn't take any pictures had to concentrate on the road.  Last 20 miles was heavy traffic with no shoulder.  Interesting that some riders loved it...

Our Comfort Inn is a wonderful place to be at the end of a hard day.

Mom! Looks like you're having such a good time! Happy Easter sunday, it's a beautiful chilly Portland day back home... Going to agree with Liana on the vulture, just be careful to look out for projectile vomiting if you get too close to one snacking by the road... :) Reading the blog with Mac, it's really fun to see what you're up to out there, what a great trip! Miss you!

  2. Hi, JoAnn! What an amazing adventure. It's been great fun following you through your blog. Thanks for sharing your experiences in detail - I can just imagine the picturesque country roads you've described. It's so interesting to know Mr. Lance Armstrong trained on some of them! You're just over halfway, and you've covered some serious ground. You're my hero! Nic and I are going to send you a few photos now. Take care, JoAnn - enjoy the ride! :)
