Day 8: Yazoo City to Indianola, MS

57.9 mi. (avg. 13.1)
Flat highway with the wind at our back. Cloudy and a cool 84. Fun and easy. No "terrain features" worth mentioning. This area is called the Mississippi delta. Fields of corn and soybeans proliferate. Log trucks were coming from someplace.

Very little shoulder, but drivers moved over, just like they did in Louisiana.
Roadway is really very clean. Have seen occasional road kill. Opossum. Turtle, frogs, and armadillo. Very little little.

Forgot to take picture, but will include a picture of our typical eating arrangement taken in New Roads.
