Day 13: to Dyersburg, TN

42.9 mi
Short day, same terrain, rollers, curves, some shade. Lots of older cars, occasional field of corn or soybean.

Talking to locals has been a delight on this trip. Black people (i hate to put anyone in a box but..) have been friendliest and helpful. When we flew past the turn to see the Alex Haley birth and gravesite,

strangers were very willing to provide directions and ask us about out trip and express their amazement at seeing a bunch of "older ladies" taking on such an adventure.
Later at our SAG stop by a pawn shop the owner said there is no way he'd "let" his wife do such a thing. I don't think there is even one of us who has that kind of relationship with her partner. Fortunately!
