Katy Trail: Hartsburg to Rhineland

50 mi

We are meeting lots of the people riding the entire route multiple times as we ride along. Everyone rides their own speed and we meet up at interpretive signs and trail heads. There is a Trailhead with parking, interpretive signs, a shelter with benches, bathroom, & water about every 15 miles. Some even have a bicycle tool stand with a tire pump.

We stayed in another great B&B with wonderful home made breakfast.
Our B&B is the only house that remains on the flood plain after a flood in 1993. The rest of the town moved up the hill, subsidized by government money. A bank, post office, gas station & restaurant sit across the road on a bit higher ground.
Cloudy, cool weather made for a perfect riding day.
