To Copper Harbor

59.3 mi
Copper Harbor is at the northern end of a peninsula that sticks out into Lake Superior. It's amazing how much riding is possible with so little services, even here. I guess the harsh winters and buggy short summers keep the population small. Two thirds of the ride was a flat road with the Lake to our right.

Then we crossed over some hills to reach this coastal community of 70-80 year-rounders. trees changed from deciduous forest, mostly maple to pine as we came north. Most homes have saunas & I'm sure lots of snow.
