Thunder, lightening, rain. 5 minutes into the ride the downpour started. I was wearing rain pants, but was soaked through quickly. It was warm and not too bad, but the 6 riders who continued were way ahead of me, so when the van came by I jumped aboard. Didn't want them to have to come back for me later. Short van ride to motel where it is now raining again. Changed to dry clothes and now waiting for room to be cleaned. Grey drippy day much like home except temp is 72 degrees.
We have been told we are sharing this motel tonight with a partying group of "older" softball teams. Never a dull moment.
Why did I think it wouldn't rain while riding around Lake Superior in July?
Jennifer rode every mile and wrung herself out at the end.
