Today was my last day of riding. Dana is off for a day of rest and then to the Airport. I'm back in Haarlem to pack up my bicycle, bicycle clothes, shoes, etc and prepare a small suitcase for the remainder of my trip home.

This trip has been an incredible experience. I have benefited most from the people we met along the way. They we so helpful, so friendly. My first time in Europe, I have had so many first impressions. I have loved being here, it feels so comfortable and safe.
I have a mix of feelings. Sad to see it end, a bit tired and worn out and happy to be closer to being back home.
I have a bit of transition time with my friend Dolores, so leaving the "traveling bubble" will be gradual.
I am so grateful to both Mary and Dana, my bicycle buddies. I would never have been able to do this without your companionship, experience, guidance and patience. I'm very grateful to the both of you.
I will miss our routine and always interesting interactions.

What a wonderful trip. It will be nice to have you back home to continue to share your expanded world with our family and new niece.
ReplyDeleteSo nice to follow your blog postings. Have a safe journey back home; miss you and can't wait to ride with you again. Thinking about you often, as you inspired me to eat whole foods/plant based.......I'm down over 40 lbs. (over 8 months) and biking is much more enjoyable. See you next month. Safe travels, Emily
