Right on the lake.
There was a Silver City on the southern tier ride in New Mexico. Our list of hotels says NM instead of MI. I'm so glad we are in Michigan & not riding to New Mexico, beautiful clear weather here. Upers pronounced "you pers" are the upper peninsula residents.
We rode through/over the Porcupine Mountains(we would call them hills). Locals call them the Porkies.
Insects are plentiful, something bit me through my leg sun protectors, lots of blood, no itch or pain. Guess I was someone's lunch.

Yikes! I remember the bugs in the Porcupine Mountains, the UP is beautiful and sooo green.....ENJOY, we are thinking of you.
