On day 10 of my 33 day riding adventure with WomanTours I had a crash outside Louisville KY. My brakes seized when I tried to slow down on a descent just over the crest of one of those rollers. I remember the pavement coming toward my face & thinking "so this is what a fall feels like & that I wished I knew a way to stop what was happening."
2 ambulance ridesrrrMy children are here. Surgery on mandible done last night. Surgeon is very nice and cute, too.
Rubber banded mouth for 6 weeks for right side fracture healing. Can't really talk. Liquid diet. Plates in to hold bones together.
Hand surgery on Monday.
Ribs need to heal as is.
10 mg Oxy gladly accepted every 4 hours., but will ha 5 mg next time 10 too much.
The tour continues without me.
We will drive home when I'm released.
