Shakespeare's birth and death are in April, so Stratford-upon-Avon has a celebration each year. Yesterday the village had a parade that started on Henley Street and ended at his burial site at Holy Trinity Church. Children in their school uniforms, town dignitaries and citizens carried flowers to place on his grave. It was a memorable celebration, with the sounds of English chatter in the background.
Today they add a marathon to the celebration.
