On my way to Washington DC

We are traveling through deciduous forests along a river.  The leaves are just beginning to change, its a late fall here. Everything looks old and wll established, lots of history here.  This is coal mining country.  Highest elevation is 3000 feet, its called a mountain, but its really just a hill.
